Final Fantasy XIV Developer Faces Cosmic Exploration Issues

After the new content of Final Fantasy XIV went live, an update was released on April 24 to address players' questions about the new Cosmic Exploration feature and some other bugs.

In addition, the developer also supplemented a more detailed list of Cosmic Exploration issues through the official Lodestone. This not only responds to player feedback but also discloses for the first time the optimization plan for Aetherial Reduction and mech ops. These improvements will greatly improve the player's gaming experience.

Patch 7.21

As the most important part of FFXIV 7.21 update, the Cosmic Exploration feature allows Crafters and Gatherers above level 10 to collect the resources needed by players while building a lunar base. It is worth noting that this new feature, which requires completing the main story quest Endwalker to unlock, has become an important new channel for players to accumulate Final Fantasy XIV Gil due to its unique cooperation mechanism and future multi-planet expansion plan of Dawntrail patches.

More Questions

However, after Patch 7.21 went live, players found that some design details deviated from the official description. The most prominent problem is some bugs in missions. The first is a bug that may prevent players from closing the corresponding menu after completing a Stellar Mission that requires aetherial reduction. The official solution is to reload through Stellar Return or Teleport, but this method will also force most menus to close.

The second is the problem of unclear instructions in gatherer missions. When players need to use Aetherial Reduction to obtain some items, their descriptions are ambiguous, making it difficult for many novice players to understand. Final Fantasy 14 said that some changes will be made to them later.

Regarding mech ops, players said that Prospect and Triangulate operations are sometimes disabled. In response, the developer said that this may be caused by a hotbar swapping problem, which can be solved by switching classes and then returning to miners and botanists, which will automatically reactivate Prospect and Triangulate.

There are also many other bugs, such as the timer in mech ops is shorter than the time displayed on the screen. They will all have different degrees of impact on players.

As of now, we don't know the specific time to solve these problems. I hope that FF14 developer can bring solutions to players as soon as possible.
