Chaos Armo, introduced in Diablo 4 Season 10, allows each character to equip additional Uniques, breaking traditional slot restrictions and allowing players to stack and use previously limited Uniques to create powerful synergistic effects. This allows players to invest Diablo 4 gold in builds that were unavailable in previous seasons, greatly enriching the diversity of builds.
However, among all builds, Minion Necromancer remains the standout, and it's one of the strongest Necromancer builds, ranking among the top in the game. Overall, it performs well and is suitable for Season 10.
The most obvious benefit of choosing a Minion Necromancer build is that it allows for long-term use. Players can focus on building their build and then freely upgrade their character's build abilities and power by buying Diablo 4 gold, without having to spend resources to develop other powerful builds later on.
Shadow Or Ring Of Mendeln?
The excellent performance of Minion Necromancer makes it very popular, and therefore many build directions have been created. Today we will talk about the pure mage flow direction. Pure mage builds can be broadly categorized into two main types, and you can choose the one that best suits you.
If you prefer Ring of Mendeln, its unique effect empowers each of your minions every six attacks, causing them to explode and deal additional physical damage. To achieve higher damage values, players should focus on physical damage buffs. If you prefer Shadow Damage-based gameplay, you should maximize the auto attacks of your mages for auto attack effectiveness.
While these two builds are very similar, Shadow build is more stable in monster farming and easier to navigate during the game than Ring of Mendeln. Therefore, it is recommended to choose Shadow build instead of Ring of Mendeln build.
In the previous season, builds with Shadow outperformed those with Ring of Mendeln in terms of maximum monster kill rate, although this was because of a bug that allowed Shadow builds to reuse items.
This bug has been fixed in Season 10, and Shadow build seemingly lost this advantage. However, in the new Season, Shadow builds can now use Wither to apply to all Shadow Damage spells, not just damage over time, but also to mages.
Wither's power allows mages to deal massive damage in a single attack. Combined with the impressive damage granted by Hand of Naz, Minion Necromancer becomes incredibly powerful.
Which build is superior, Shadow or Ring of Mendeln? This remains a question worth comparing.
Gear
Many players are eager to show the power of their builds at the beginning of this Season. For Minion Necromancer, choosing Hand of Naz is a good choice to achieve this goal.
Necromancers can be enhanced in power by utilizing Hand of Naz effect, which grants an additional Skeleton Mage for each minion sacrificed. This strategy essentially forced Minion Necromancer to sacrifice both Skeletal Warriors and Golems simultaneously to maximize Skeletal Mages for their own strength.
Because Skeleton Warriors must be sacrificed to trigger Hand of Naz, and defenders are sacrificed to gain additional resistance, while Reapers are more cost-effective alternatives in the late game, defenders are irreplaceable in the early game.
Chaos Perks
Compared to other Necromancer builds, Minion Necromancer's survivability is relatively weak, which is one of its main weaknesses. This changed with the introduction of Chaos Armor in Diablo 4 Season 10.
The combination of Marred Guard and Beast Cornered is surprisingly powerful. Players can utilize both Marred Guard and Beast Cornered to improve their survivability, and this may become a staple of Chaos Perks for most builds this season.
While combining Beast Cornered and Marred Guard reduces the maximum health to 50%, it significantly increases the actual tankiness of the remaining health. Furthermore, players can also generate a shield during gameplay, enjoying the full damage reduction and additional tankiness provided by these two talents without the negative impact of the reduced health limit.
The combination of Beast Cornered and Marred Guard also provides a 100% damage bonus. This means that once you unlock the Beast Cornered talent, this build becomes both tanky and powerful.
However, it should be noted that both Beast Cornered and Marred Guard combination and the sacrifice of Skeleton Warriors are not available until the late game. Until then, you can use other equipment to make the transition.
Elixirs Making
For a smoother early game combat experience, you can collect the corresponding materials and use Diablo 4 gold to craft elixirs like Soothing Spices, Song of the Mountain, and Sage's Whisper. Soothing Spices and Song of the Mountain are particularly recommended.
Soothing Spices increases all elemental resistances by 10% for all nearby players for 20 minutes, increases maximum elemental resistance by 1%, increases armor by 150, and grants an additional 5% experience. Song of the Mountain increases armor by 200 for each nearby player for 20 minutes.
You can freely choose the potions you need to achieve your goals.
For any build, ensuring sufficient resistance and armor stats in the early game and continuously improving them in the late game requires careful consideration. However, for Minion Necromancer, achieving these goals is relatively easy.
Future Development Of Minion Necromancer
If you want to play a build long term, it's best to understand its future development direction. This will reduce unnecessary Diablo 4 gold spending in the late game and help you optimize your equipment and development strategy.
As mentioned above, while Hand of Naz is very powerful in the early game, its effects conflict with Heir of Perdition and cannot be used at the same time.
For Chaos Uniques released this season, most builds choose to equip Chaos Legendary gear on pants and shoes, while opting for legendary aspects for gloves, weapons, necklaces, and double rings. This also applies to Minion Necromancer.
In terms of chest armor, Shroud of False Death is hard to beat by other Chaos Uniques, while for helm, Heir of Perdition is practically the best choice in Season 10.
Overall, Minion Necromancer performs extremely well. If you're looking for a highly playable, powerful, and stable build in Season 10, I recommend it. I wish you a very enjoyable gaming life.
