Is Last Epoch Season 2 Worth Your Time To Try In 2025?

April is a month of intense competition, not only because Path Of Exile 2 Dawn Of The Hunt League, which has been eagerly awaited by players at the beginning of the month, is finally released, but more importantly, Diablo 4 Season 8 is also officially launched on the 29th of the month! This is definitely an exciting month for APRG players. But many players may have overlooked that another game also released a major update in the middle of the month, which is Last Epoch Season 2 update.

As an ARPG with a similar game style to Diablo 4 and POE series, why can Last Epoch withstand the pressure and be released at the same time? What are its advantages? Is this game really worth our time to play?

Last Epoch vs Diablo 4 vs POE 2

For my part, I knew nothing about this game called Last Epoch before. Later, I decided to take a risk because I heard other action RPG players say that they were looking forward to the new season.

To be honest, its price surprised me at first. But after just a week of playing, I was blown away by how good this action RPG is, and I can't even remember the last time I had so much fun playing an action RPG. That was years ago!

For some players who like the dark elements and gameplay of Diablo 4, but want the endgame challenge of Path Of Exile 2, Last Epoch is the perfect choice, and here’s why.

If you’re someone who has a full-time job and doesn’t have a ton of time to devote to gaming, but still want a game that lets you hone your skills, enjoy cool visuals, and have fun, then Last Epoch is undoubtedly what you’ve been looking for.

If you were anxious because of the difficult endgame and complex systems in POE 2, in Last Epoch you can easily get back into the rhythm and every moment feels worth it. Because you’re always making progress, and this sense of achievement is something I think many action RPGs today struggle to provide.

In Path Of Exile 2, you can sometimes grind for hours on end only to receive a meager amount of XP and feel like you wasted your time. In Diablo 4, you can spend hours collecting materials for Masterworking only to see them disappear in an instant with no reward.

The Careful Details Of Last Epoch

Last Epoch, on the other hand, is pure fun and joy, especially for those with limited time. At this point, I’m still a beginner, but I’m having a blast, so if you’re like me, I think you will too.

The core fun of action RPGs is here from the beginning, and that’s what makes this game so special. You can tell that this game was made by people who love action RPGs, everything is made with passion, whether it’s the loot, the environment design, the mobs, the timeline in the story, even the in-game shop is done very well.

While there is a learning curve, you’ll definitely have fun. So, what do you think of Last Epoch? Are you willing to take the time to try it?
