Forza Horizon 6 players, the long-awaited FH6 is finally officially released and will be available to all players on May 19th!

Are you ready for an adrenaline-pumping race on the realistic streets of Japan? Or perhaps you'd like to experience various high-performance vehicles in the game?

In any case, before the official launch, let me share some tips and tricks to help you get a head start on your journey in Japan!

How to Get Started with Forza Horizon 6?

First, when you open FH6 for the first time, you can find your Collection Journal in Campaign section of Main Menu. Here, you'll see many options.

Before you begin freely exploring Forza Horizon 6, I highly recommend completing Horizon Festival and Discover Japan missions.

Horizon Festival

Like all FH titles, Horizon Festival is always the fastest way to get up to speed with the first FH game and unlock everything.

Completing Horizon Festival unlocks all races, events, and challenges, and also familiarizes you with some of the new systems and content introduced in this installment.

Therefore, completing Horizon Festival first, and then freely exploring the game, will give you a clearer goal and motivation during your gameplay.

Discover Japan

This will also help you get familiar with Forza Horizon 6 faster, and by completing this series of missions, you'll unlock more available vehicles, undoubtedly enriching your gaming experience.

While it will take some time, it will allow you to better begin your FH6 Japan adventure.

Make your game goals clearer

You can open your map filter, enable Recommended Events, and then scroll down to turn on Incomplete Events.

This will make your map clearer and more concise than the original game map, and will only show content you haven't yet completed.

In other words, you no longer need to search through a dazzling array of icons for content you haven't experienced.

If you have other needs, you can adjust the map filter in this FH6 update to better suit your game preferences.

Quickly prepare Your Vehicle for Race

If you want to drive a specific vehicle in a race but it doesn't meet the race's vehicle class or power limitations, you'll inevitably face the issue of vehicle modifications.

In Forza Horizon 6, you don't need to pre-configure your vehicle before the race, or quit the race, return to your garage, and complete modifications before entering the race, as in previous titles.

The system is much more convenient and intuitive. You can directly access the vehicle selection screen, find the vehicle you want to drive, and then go to Creative Hub.

Find a modification scheme that meets your specific attribute requirements, obtain it based on FH6 credits it's marked with, and immediately apply it to your vehicle.

Quickly Earn Horizon Festival Points

Also in Collection Journal, find Horizon Promo Photos. Here, you can see that you'll earn Horizon Festival points every time you take a unique photo of a car using the in-game photo mode.

Therefore, whenever you acquire a new car, or before starting any FH6 race, take a photo. This will quickly earn you Horizon Festival points and is very easy and relaxing.

How to conquer difficult Bonus Boards?

As we all know, there are always those annoying Bonus Boards in FH series. If you're a perfectionist, you'll spend a lot of time on them, and some Bonus Boards are extremely difficult to reach.

Unfortunately, in Forza Horizon 6, we still have to deal with these Bonus Boards, and their locations are just as tricky as before.

For some Bonus Boards on rooftops, or those requiring extremely long jumps to destroy, it's best to turn on Rewind in the game settings.

This ensures that if you miss a Bonus Board, you can directly return to the starting point via Rewind without wasting time going back. It also makes it easier to adjust your position or angle after a mistake.

However, despite this, you might need to spend a significant amount of time on certain Bonus Boards. The good news is that these Bonus Boards do provide substantial Forza Horizon 6 credits and convenient quick-move functionality.

How to launch better?

You can find Launch Control in the difficulty settings. Enabling and utilizing this feature effectively will significantly improve your race performance and allow you to easily overtake your opponents at the start.

When you have this feature enabled in FH6, you need to engage the handbrake and simultaneously press the accelerator before the race starts. Then, at the moment the race begins, release the handbrake to give your car a quick start.

If your start is correct, you'll see the relevant indicator light on the dashboard illuminate. Generally, this start is much faster than continuously pressing the accelerator and allows you to gain a better starting position.

Enabling Launch Control will give you a significant performance boost in all races, especially in drag racing, where it can effortlessly help you take first place.

Don't forget to use the different vehicle modes

In Forza Horizon 6, many vehicles have different modes to suit various situations. For example, on Mercedes AMG 2021 AMG One, you'll see Highway and Track modes in the lower right corner of your dashboard.

If you're using a controller, press the left analog stick to switch modes. You'll see changes to the vehicle's appearance, such as raised mechanical parts, spoilers, rear wings, or other modifications.

Choosing the appropriate vehicle mode based on road conditions and race type will make your Forza Horizon 6 experience more enjoyable and help you win different types of races more easily.

Best Vehicles in Early Game

You can find Festival Kilometre Drag Meet on the map, where you can get the excellent 94 Mazda MX5 Miata Forza Edition, a legendary car with exceptional grip and exhilarating speed.

Forza Horizon 6 Mazda MX5 Miata

You can go to the aforementioned race location and look back from the starting line to see the cars available in the parking spaces behind.

You can check this location multiple times, refreshing it quickly by repeatedly entering the game. If the car appears, you can unlock this powerful modified vehicle in the early game using Forza Horizon 6 credits.

These are some of the most important things you need to know after Forza Horizon 6 officially launches on May 19th; they will definitely be a huge help in your new adventure in Japan.
