Let's take a look at these new features so you can get a head start in FFXIV Patch 7.5!

Release Schedule

The development team has hinted at a general update timeline. Not all features will be released at the beginning of the new patch; some features will be rolled out in later stages. You can start planning your schedule now.

  • April 28, 2026: Patch 7.5
  • Early June 2026: Patch 7.51
  • Late July 2026: Patch 7.55
  • Early September 2026: Patch 7.56

In addition to the main content introduced in Trail to the Heavens update, Patch 7.5 will also introduce other new content. Ocean Fishing Route adds a route to Thavnair, Cosmic Exploration brings the new planet Auxsia, and Occult Crescent brings new areas, monsters, Critical Encounters, higher knowledge levels, and new Phantom Jobs.

New Limited Job

Limited jobs have always held a unique place in Final Fantasy XIV. The highlight of Patch 7.5 is Beastmaster, a brand new limited job that allows players to capture wild creatures and summon them as allies in battle.

Quests

Patch 7.5 offers a wealth of quest content. The new main storyline is divided into two parts. The first part will be released in Patch 7.5, and the second part will be released in early September with Patch 7.56. The main story will focus more deeply on the fate of Warrior of Light than Dawntrail.

Patch 7.5 also introduces the final quests of Dawntrail Allied Societies, concluding the series and making it a complete final chapter of Dawntrail quests, rather than just an extension of daily quests. Completing these quests will reward you with a large amount of Final Fantasy XIV Gil, Allagan Tomestones, and Ventures.

Patch 7.5 also adds a new Custom Deliveries client, Tiisol Ja, the owner of Aunt Tii's Tacos, who is well-known in Tuliyollal.

Furthermore, Patch 7.5 adds more chapters to Inconceivably Further Hildibrand Adventures series. This could be another significant comedic turning point, bringing a more definitive conclusion to this chapter.

Raids

Windurst: The Third Walk

Windurst: The Third Walk is a brand-new Alliance raid in Patch 7.5. As the third part of Echoes of Vana'diel raid storyline, it strives to retain the essence of the original FFXI, including its atmosphere, visuals, and environments.

Ultimate

Ultimate is a brand-new high-level raid introduced during Patch 7.5 update. However, it didn't launch simultaneously with patch 7.5, but in early September with Patch 7.56. While most players will initially spend several weeks preparing for Alliance raids, Ultimate will become the ultimate goal for fixed groups.

Ultimate represents the limit of FFXIV difficulty, and each new Ultimate release is a significant milestone for the player community. The confirmation of Ultimate will undoubtedly prompt players focused on raid progression to begin various theoretical deductions.

Trial

Patch 7.5 includes the brand new FFXIV Trial - Enuo. It includes both Normal and Extreme difficulty versions. According to the developers, Enuo is a very powerful being, and veteran FFXIV players should be familiar with her. However, the developers have not yet released details about her mechanics.

Shinyu's Domain (Unreal) is one of the new additions in this update cycle. The level cap has been raised to 100, restoring the difficulty and complex mechanics of the original Shinryu battle. This is a challenge full of nostalgia, and it also allows players to test their skills weekly.

Dungeon

The latest Dungeon in FFXIV Patch 7.5 is called The Clyteum. This dungeon showcases desolate streets, gloomy arcades, and various signs that foreshadow a new crisis emerging in the region. The Clyteum is closely connected to the main storyline, and its setting makes it more dramatic than other recent FFXIV dungeons.

Housing Updates

One of the most significant updates in FFXIV Patch 7.5 is the improvement to Heavens housing system. The maximum number of furniture items inside and outside houses will be increased. Storage room capacity will also increase by roughly the same amount. In addition, Patch 7.5 adds interior decorations, more house appearance options are coming soon, and interior expansion functionality will be released after Patch 7.5.

In FFXIV, housing is almost a standalone game, and storage limitations have been a persistent and frustrating issue. The increased limits on wardrobes and house furniture may not be as groundbreaking as the new team missions, but they are important to a large portion of the player base.

PvP Updates

While the changes to PvP in Patch 7.5 are minor, they are very important. This update includes the brand-new Crystalline Conflict arena: Archeia Harmonia. This is a crystal-conflict arena set in a library, featuring unique map mechanics where you can experience clean and efficient team battles; however, full details of the mechanics are still pending release.

Final Fantasy 14 Patch 7.5 Trail to the Heaven officially kicks off a brand new chapter in the story. This update shows great sincerity in both the depth of the plot and the breadth of gameplay, adding new challenges and exciting content to the game.
