Diablo 4 Season of Reckoning will begin on April 27th at 4:30 PM Pacific Time. It brings a wealth of new content and is highly anticipated.
Season of Reckoning Updates will introduce numerous brand-new Uniques, some with high stats and others with entirely new affixes. Effects at the top of Uniques, such as Intelligence, Maximum Health, and Shadow Resistance, can be randomly generated. However, Power at the bottom of Uniques cannot be changed.
Let's break down the new Diablo 4 Uniques in Season of Reckoning by class, as well as the exclusive Uniques from the expansion packs, to see how they will affect our builds.
Necromancer
Undercrown
Undercrown special ability allows you to increase the maximum number of Skeleton Warriors and Skeleton Magesis by 2 to 4. Commanding Skeleton Warriors will also cause Skeleton Magesis to focus their attacks on the same target for 5 seconds. This can help you build an undead army.
Red Blessing
You can gain up to 4 stacks of Overpower while in good health. Blood Orbs summoned by Necromancers can also grant 2 stacks of Overpower. Each stack of Overpower increases your damage by up to 10 times. Overpower will be reworked again in the new season; it's always changing.
Rogue
Etna's Lost Dagger
This is a brand new, unique dagger that deals two different types of non-physical damage, increasing your Imbuement Skills' power by up to 60 times and non-physical damage by up to 60 points for 8 seconds. This means basic skills are now imbuable.
I guess this is a Rogue item, but usually, Rogue-exclusive items would display a small icon indicating Rogue-only use. This one doesn't, so I don't know if this means we can add imbuments to other classes; perhaps it can be achieved through Runeword combinations.
Shrouded Gift
Next is Shrouded Gift, a unique pair of pants. Whenever you gain stealth, you also gain stealth. During stealth and for 8 seconds after stealth ends, you gain up to 30% damage reduction, but this is only available to Rogues. I would prefer that immunity effects in Diablo 4 be compatible with more classes.
Sorcerer
Drongan's Anguish
This unique ability seems to be exclusive to Sorcerers. Casting a spell will burn 5% of your maximum health over 10 seconds. Depending on the amount of health burned, you can deal up to 250% additional burning damage. So, you can consume your health first, and then gain higher damage. However, whether this health reduction can lead to death is still unknown.
Onyx Soul
Its special ability is: Frozen Orb now returns to you, dealing 80 to 100 times the damage. So, you shoot a Frozen Orb, it explodes twice, then it returns to you and explodes twice more. This may also be a Sorcerer-exclusive Unique, which could bring a new mainstream Frozen Orb build to Diablo 4.
Spiritborn
You need to acquire Vessel of Hatred expansion to experience Spiritborn. Season of Reckoning update also introduced two new Uniques for Spiritborn. Lord of Hatred expansion also includes Vessel of Hatred content.
Protean Heart
It helps you cast different abilities, granting you different bonuses, increasing core attributes by 100% for 7 seconds. So if we cast Eagle, we gain bonus movement speed. With Gorilla, we gain damage reduction. With Jaguar, we gain attack speed. With Centipede, we gain health regeneration per second.
Echo of Kwatli
This is a new amulet. It can increase the damage you deal to Vulnerable enemies by up to 100 times, a brand new affix. After making an enemy vulnerable, your next direct damage to them will restore 5% of your maximum health and generate 10 Vigor. Echo of Kwatli also removes Vulnerable effects.
Warlock
Warlock will debut in Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred.
Gauntlets of Sheol
This is a unique gauntlet whose special effect summons Fiends of Abaddon, sacrificing all other more powerful demonic summons to deal Abaddon's damage to those around them. The damage increases by up to 33 for each demon killed. This is a brand new Warlock Unique. You can stack many more powerful demons and then consume them all at once, dealing trillions of damage.
Ae'grom's Schism
This is a unique chestplate that helps Warlock summons deal up to 50 damage. You can also summon an Aegrom and gain a second charge of Command Aegrom, which is the active skill for this summon.
Seed of Horazon
This is a brand new Warlock amulet. For every 30 points of Wrath you have in your Demonology Skills, you can deal up to 0.75 additional damage. Wrath is like your mana, regenerating very slowly. Furthermore, every 100 points of Dominance you have reduces the damage you take. You can think of it as a Demon Hunter. We might even create an infinitely scalable build using Seed of Horazon.
Uniques will bring a wealth of build possibilities to all classes. However, be aware of the changes brought by the new mechanics in Diablo 4 Season of Reckoning to maximize the power of these Uniques. Witness on April 27th how Uniques will revolutionize Diablo 4.
