ARC Raiders Riven Tides map has been out for a while, and Stacking Yard Puzzle within it is arguably the most difficult environmental puzzle in the entire ARC Raiders game to date.
Many players are still struggling with the puzzle's high difficulty and randomness, making numerous attempts, but ultimately failing to obtain Stacking Yard Puzzle's rewards and wasting a significant amount of time.
Steps to Complete Stacking Yard Puzzle
First, it's important to know that to complete Stacking Yard Puzzle, you need at least one ARC Raiders teammate. If you can't find anyone to help, there is a way to complete it alone, but the effort required might even exceed the reward, so it's highly discouraged.

This challenging puzzle has two phases, and the information and locations needed to complete it are scattered across three industrial buildings and a crane in Riven Tides. Each time you enter a new raid, the items needed to complete the puzzle will randomly appear in several different locations, greatly increasing the difficulty.
Phase 1: Find four red buttons. Phase 2: Find Fuel Cell and repair the elevator. This will complete the puzzle and grant access to Stacking Yard loot room.
Before starting to search for these items, I highly recommend clearing out ARC enemies near Stacking Yard. This will not only prevent them from causing trouble later in the game but also prevent them from revealing your location. Furthermore, ARC Raiders items that may be needed in later missions can be obtained by defeating them.
Four Red Buttons
In the first phase, you must find four red buttons in the storage area. This sounds simple, but their locations change each time and are completely unpredictable.
Therefore, to complete this first stage, you either need incredible luck, or you must memorize all the possible locations of the buttons and meticulously check them all.
Because these locations are so scattered and random, the best way to ensure completion of this stage is to check along a fixed route, ensuring no area is missed. These possible locations are:
- Inside each Control Building, possibly near the entrance or on the ground.
- The tracks directly beneath each Control Building.
- The roads surrounding each Control Building.
- The rooftops of each Control Building.
- Crane Ladders.
- The corners around Cranes.
- The small rooms inside Cranes.
- The top of Cranes.
Based on feedback from different ARC Raiders players, these locations only have a higher probability of containing the red buttons. If you have searched all these locations but still haven't found all four buttons, you should continue to search carefully within the areas of these buildings, paying special attention to hard-to-find corners.
A recommended route is to start from Building 3, then Building 2, and finally reach Building 1. Furthermore, searching from top to bottom is recommended to avoid missing rooftops and the tops of cranes.
There are ziplines on the tops of the three cranes. Utilizing them effectively can improve your efficiency, allowing you to move between them faster and complete the search of all crane tops in one go.
Once you've found all four red buttons and interacted with them, you can proceed to the second phase.

Find Fuel Cell
You might think that after such a grueling search, the rest will be easy.
However, unfortunately, you'll need to search again, but this time you only need to find one Fuel Cell. There are some details that require careful attention, otherwise you might miss Fuel Cell and waste unnecessary time. Here are the possible locations in ARC Raiders for Fuel Cell:
- Tops of containers on the rails
- Tops of cranes
- In the grass around cranes
- Sand below Loot Room
- Around the rails
Similarly, listening to feedback from other ARC Raiders players might save us some trouble. Fuel Cells usually appear on the ground, and are more likely to appear near Building 1. Also, Fuel Cell is easily obscured when it spawns in sand or tall grass, so extra caution is advised in these areas.
Unlocking Loot Room
If you successfully find Fuel Cell, you can head to the broken lift with your friend, located below Loot Room. Check the damaged panel to see what repair materials are needed. Note that these materials are random and vary from raid to raid, but they are generally common, so don't worry too much.
Next, you and your friend need to cooperate. One person needs to stand on the elevator with Fuel Cell, while the other person holds down the button to send the person up to unlock the room and receive the reward.
Solo Method
For solo players, you need to carry certain ARC Raiders items, such as Trigger 'Nade. The steps are the same as before: place Fuel Cell on the elevator, but this time, you need to stay below and control the elevator.
Before activating the elevator, place Trigger 'Nade next to Fuel Cell. Yes, you guessed it. What you need to do is detonate Trigger 'Nade when the elevator reaches the top, pushing it to the correct position to unlock the room.
While this might take a lot of time, it's a viable method for raiders who have to rely solely on themselves.
Stacking Yard Puzzle Rewards
After overcoming those difficult puzzle-solving steps, we finally arrive at the loot section that everyone loves.
Loot Room 1
This is the main reward of Stacking Yard Puzzle. There are some noteworthy loot items; pay special attention to Weapon Cases, Drawers, and the possible Epic Weapon Keys. Of course, you might also get nothing, as there's a higher probability of finding valuable ARC Raiders items, not a guarantee.
Loot Room 2
Here you need to repair another elevator. There might be some Red Lockers and Weapon Cases. Compared to Loot Room 1, the rewards here are somewhat insignificant.
However, some players have noted that Legendary Leviathan's Crown Ship Model is quite likely to appear here. Therefore, some exploration is warranted.
Overall, Stacking Yard Puzzle is not easy, and every player who wants to complete it needs to be prepared to invest a significant amount of time and effort.
