ARC Raiders Patch 1.27.0: Trigger 'Nade Nerf, Corsaro Suit & Riven Tides Fixes

ARC Raiders has released another update, Patch 1.27.0, which is now officially live.

Compared to previous major content updates, Patch 1.27.0 is more of a refinement, serving as a bridge between the past and the future. It mainly includes backend changes, minor adjustments and bug fixes, balance adjustments, vulnerability patches, and some new content.ARC Raiders Patch 1.27.0: Trigger 'Nade Nerf, Corsaro Suit & Riven Tides Fixes

Today, we'll take a look at the contents of ARC Raiders Patch 1.27.0 and some information you need to know about this update.

Store

ARC Raiders has released Corsaro Suit and Mutton Chops. Corsaro Suit is designed for raiders who can easily steer warships. With its mechanical arms and spring-driven legs, any raider wearing the pirate hat will feel like a technological captain sailing the high seas, ready to conquer anything.

Corsaro Suit is a cool hybrid of cyberpunk and pirate themes. You'll get a pirate hat, a mask, and a technologically advanced mechanical prosthetic leg. Your most thrilling maritime adventures blend seamlessly with a post-apocalyptic cyberpunk world.

This gear set also comes in several color options, allowing you to switch between a cape, holster, hat, jacket, radio box, and shoulder pads. These pieces cost 1,600 Raider Tokens, with a significant discount available for the complete set.

Additionally, there are five different colors of Mutton Chops, a brand-new facial hair accessory, priced at 500 Raider Tokens. On the positive side, this is all the new content you'll ultimately see. Other changes involve backend modifications and gameplay tweaks.

Trigger 'Nade

The most significant change in this update is the adjustment to Trigger 'Nade' mechanics. You can no longer throw a new grenade and detonate a previous one simultaneously; you must wait for the trigger animation to complete before throwing the next Trigger 'Nade, thus reducing abuse.

However, in last week's Riven Tides update, a glitch allowed you to bypass this restriction and experience the instant detonation effect again. It seems ARC Raiders team is attempting to bring Trigger 'Nade back to its intended balance.

However, this change may be controversial, depending on your overall impression of Trigger 'Nade and what type of player you are. PvP players might prefer to keep this bug.

ARC Enemies

You can now drop carried items and fight Ticks while being attacked while carrying them. This prevents you from helplessly watching your health dwindle.

We've also seen a fix for the long-range visibility issue with Turbine attacks. You might not see distant lightning strikes while fighting Turbines, which can be fatal. The adjustment makes these lightning strikes clearly visible.

They've also adjusted the visibility of short-range mines deployed by Turbines, which is definitely good news. Depending on Turbine's landing location, some mines might be deployed in less conspicuous places.

They've also improved Turbine landing behavior, reducing poor landings, such as landing on treetops. This situation seems relatively rare, but at least the issue has been fixed.

Audio

On the audio front, they fixed an issue that caused other sound effects in ARC Raiders to be drowned out by Turbine sounds, and increased the audible distance of Turbine sounds. They fixed an issue with missing sound feedback when moving or shooting in the densely vegetated areas of Riven Tides. They also fixed an audio and animation issue that occurred when quickly using items.

However, some players have reported that Barricade Kit is now silent when disassembling, which may be an audio bug. I hope this issue will be fixed soon, as Barricade Kit is a convenient safety measure when looting key rooms.

Map

Both Riven Tides and Stella Montis have received some updates. For Riven Tides, they fixed the point of interest in the field warehouse, several floating and buried fruit baskets, and a spot where players could fall into a crack in the floor. You certainly don't want to be unlucky enough to fall into a crack in the map and lose all your items.

In Stella Montis, they fixed an issue with missing collision detection on a wall that allowed Arc enemies and players to shoot through it.

Late Departure Window

The information in Late Departure window has also been fixed. It now accurately displays Catch Up Rewards. If you eventually earn a Catch Up Reward, your reward and ARC Raiders Items will be accurately reflected in your display.

Cosmetics

You can now use Howdy emote while running. The colors of Rachetta outfit are now more consistent with the display.

Future

That concludes this week's update. Compared to last week's Riven Tides update, this one is much smaller. Larger updates are usually scheduled for the end of the month, when you'll see more significant content. Next week we'll see Expedition reset. As for what's coming next, it seems a significant balance adjustment is imminent.

ARC Raiders has specified that they are working on balance adjustments and will release all details once they are ready, which seems to suggest that we will be seeing some kind of large-scale balance change. The specific details of the adjustments are currently unknown.

Given their statement that the adjustments are based on constructive feedback from Riven Tides, I speculate that these adjustments will probably optimize and improve various aspects of Riven Tides. For example, they might adjust weapon durability, perhaps make balance adjustments for specific weapons, or, as they previously mentioned, adjust enhancement mods, etc.

Until we know their exact plans, all of this is just speculation. This concludes this week's latest patch for ARC Raiders, paving the way for the upcoming Expedition reset and the end-of-month update.
